By Deborah Anderson

A lot of people like books that are often genre stuff. Lots of genres have been made and new ones made each year, but the major genres have actually been defined already and anything new could be a combination of several old ones. The novel that is about criminals and detectives is classic and could also be infused with new stuff.

Mafiosi are persons identified as Italian gangsters and their storied and often make for more fascinating reads, but they belong to a general class of written work that could include any organized criminal group and their activities as a focus. The Mobster Crime Novel is one that will include many kinds of mob groups. In the classic scene it is related to the Sicilian mob transplanted in America.

You may see the topic as something that had its day decades ago. The numerous books that were written were made into films or TV series, about the gangsters, their molls, crime operations, fights between authorities and between each other. The topic is certainly rife with dramatic potential and the tonalities could include the darker side of tragedy.

Crime is not a thing that many folks willingly go into, and lots of mobsters could actually be trying to find a way out. But for most it is not about liking the life, but accepting the circumstances and the needed sacrifice that are needed with some wit or even humor. Portrayals are always connected to a life full of violence, loss and pain.

The saying that criminals pay is often seen with a mitigating factor for folks who do some good, like Robin Hood did, stealing and fighting the rich or the nobles to help the poor. Gangsters may have a quality like this, since they are those who may be fighting against a political system which has oppressed or marginalized them. Their formative foundations could often be for protecting their folks.

The law says that this is wrong, but La Cosa Nostra, or black crime groups often point out that laws could be lacking. This means that they will fight against these to have better ones made, ones that are more equal and less advantageous to some group who have some made up qualities for being better. Racism, discrimination and prejudice often motivate people to organize into mob groups.

The book covering criminal activities and their histories or beliefs, and the dreams of folks involved should be researched well. Authors here could have been part of these groups, and have made it their focus to tell the world how truth works in these groups or movements. These often are real movements having good causes.

Oppressors often create their own enemies, and when their laws label folks criminal, in terms of justice it may not even be truthful. The many points or issues here also will make for the selling points of a book like this to sell. Any one could be espousing a philosophy, but make this play out in ow their characters live their lives and make their own realities.

The points that make the novel in question unique will be about men who have accepted the life of crime despite the danger. These could be ordinary folks, perhaps sympathetic and even very intelligent. The way many seek a book like this is often relevant to how they sympathize with one cause or another.
